TABLE RULES
Call it. Order the upcard suit in round one, or name any other suit in round two.
Follow it. You must follow the first card’s effective suit when able. If void, play anything. Trump beats the led suit, and the led suit beats unrelated off-suit cards. The left bower counts as trump.
Score it. Makers earn 1 for 3–4 tricks and 2 for all 5. A euchre earns defenders 2.
Go alone. A caller may sit out their partner. Taking all five tricks alone earns 4 points; taking 3–4 earns 1.
Win it. Across-table partners share a score. First team to 10 wins.
Farmer’s Hand. Three matching nines or three matching tens may be exchanged for the three buried cards.
Ace No Face. Exactly one ace plus only nines and tens forces a redeal and moves the deal.
First Blood. The active player holding the right bower—the Jack of trump—must lead it after trump is called. If it is buried or sitting out, opening lead stays normal.
